This exhibition showcased artists and makers from across the East Sussex region – from Rye to Brighton and Hove. The show featured works in every medium, from small-scale paintings to large-scale installations. I was pleased to have three works chosen to exhibit from the Memento series and one Prehistory painting. The judging panel for the 2013 East Sussex Open included Sanna Moore with guest selectors, artist Susan Diab and artist Alessandro Raho. Raho's well-known works include a commission of Dame Judi Dench for the National Portrait Gallery.
